Hi. My name is Nima and I am a 37 year old NNES. I am a CELTA certified teacher with a Toeic score of 880 and C1 certificate of CEFR and I also have a bachelor's degree in English Translation Studies. I have more than 8 years of experience teaching and tutoring English to different age groups and I have been teaching in a private school in Pattaya city of Thailand since May of 2023. My role for the last 2 years has been the home-room teacher for grades 8 and 9 of the school's SEC program which is a semi EP curriculum and now I want to change my school. I also have experience teaching at the primary level for 4 years and English proficiency exams’ preparation courses as well. I am a patient and passionate person and this allows me to establish a good rapport with my students and use this to learn about their needs and preferences and consequently use this information to tailor the class to how it works well for them.

I have been teaching as the school's main English subject teacher for 3 classes with 50 students in total in its SEC program, which is basically a semi-EP curriculum focusing predominantly on their "Grammar" and Conversation teacher for Thai curriculum for 55 students in 2 classes. I was also the homeroom teacher for grades 8 and 9 of the SEC and helped my students in their subjects of mathematics and science as well.

CELTA certificate is a 120 hour on-site teaching course. It is the most prestigious and demanding course for international teachers. I was lucky to have the time to be able to take a Part-time course. Which has the same amount of hours but it allows you to do research and studying about what you are being taught. Therefore during the course I read and studied the logic behind the methods and hence I was able to develop a deep understanding of language acquisition.
